i dont know about this one, but i you have problems using tank treads and rope, us these 2 tips:
select all the hinges in tank track and make them inf+ strength motors, at -0rpm

also make the chains have a larg density - these should help

I use my nonstrechy chains as tank tracks and special made wheels too ^^
