All of the spawned circle's attributes (such as events and variables) must have a colon before the equal sign, like this:

scene.addCircle({
radius := 0.5;
update := (e)=>{
e.this.radius = e.this.radius + 1.5;
e.this.color = e.this.color - [0, 0, 0, 0.005];
e.this.edgeBlur = e.this.edgeBlur + 0.01
};

It's the same with all other spawned geometries, such as boxes and polygons.

Always use := when defining events and variables for geometries.
