The eye thing is just there because it can.

The robot stabilizes itself with a flywheel, when the robot falls, the flywheel will rotate in the opposit direction. The reaction torque will cause the robot to stand back upright.

I didn't copy it from another algodoo user. I've never even seen it in algodoo. :)
