Following on from my 10m scale Ross engine with gearbox, here's the same gearbox, but with my Ratchet Engine Mk.2 attatched.
The Mk.2 doesn't operate at as high revs as the Mk.1, but the much sturdier construction, and different arm-syncer give it a much more persistent performance, whilst remaining unstallable. Also means it shakes alot less, as there's no gear teeth to slip (as is the case on the Mk.1 syncer).

Reason for having the piston pieces translated through levers is to provide a greater top speed when under a light load, and to provide greater torque when under a heavy load.
Ratchets go faster when the pistons are in mid-draw, but push harder when at end-draw.
Also means there's less arresting of momentum at end-draw, as the ratchets are moving slower at those points, which also contributes to less shaking of the engine.

Simply connect the blue disc to the drive train of something.

Engine controls:
Give the merangue-coloured spike things either side of the red gear a gentle tug. The engine should get going from that, turning itself anti-clockwise.
If that doesn't work, keep tugging.

Gearbox controls:
Gears are cycled through 1-6, each on a toggle.
- Be sure to deselect the current gear before changing gears.

This has been optimized for 240 Hz.
