Using the same base as the Mk.2, just with a different engine, and slight fiddling with the tread chain.
Simulation frequency has been ramped up to 270 Hz, which I'm able to get away with (without marring performance issues, as is the case doing it to the Mk.2) due to the use of a much simpler, and actually stronger, spring engine, which I actually made over a year ago.
Was exploring the power capabilities of Short-draw springs; much more torque, but an overbearing load will shut down the engine, instead of just straining the revs.
- Fastest I've gotten it to go is 150 m/s, 335 mph
(Still really damn quick)
(World's fastest tank goes up to 51.1 mph, but it's alot heavier than this)
Same base features as the Mk.1 & 2; suspension and all that.
There's also a hilly course to go through.
To operate:
Tap Q for Rightwards,
Tap A for Leftwards,
Press Z to stop the engine.
If you want to change the direction of spin, stop the engine first.
Gears are Toggled on G, F, and 1-6.
Unlike all my other vehicles, just putting it in gear is effectively engaging the clutch.
To get rolling, use G. Once up to speed, deactivate G and cycle through the other gears. |
