To save risking RSI and constantly tapping F to get the thing going, I learnt how to make Spawn engines; this here is my first crack at that.
Pretty jerky, sometimes knocks, but it most certainly works.
(And it also might explode, but that's quite rare).
Nice thing about this engine design is that I don't have to lark about with timings; just rigidly hold the sets so they're always in phase. Easy enough.

To operate:
Press Q for Ignition.
Press Z to start it up.

Engine naturally grinds to a halt when the ignition's off.
Gears are cycled from 1 to 6, on toggle. Be sure to deselect the current gear before changing.
Wheel brakes are on S.

[Funny thing about this engine is that, without the chassis and such, it'll actually fly]

A couple of optimization changes.
(Spawn engines seem a lot more finnicky to tune than Spring engines)
