A wealthy king wanted to hire the best mathematician in his entire kingdom, and so he devised a clever test to determine who is the most clever person for the job.
The story and the instructions are in the scene. You must use the number keys that are on the top row of your keyboard and NOT the numpad number keys.
If you think you figured out which one of the ten goldsmiths is the thief, then leave a comment that says which number (1 through 10) is the thief, and also explain HOW you arrived at your conclusion.
Use the 0 (zero) key for the number ten.
If no one gets the correct answer after a few days, I will reveal it here in the scene description.

. I added 1 ring of #1, 2 of #2, 3 of #3 etc. And then looked. If all rings were 100g, it would show 5500 since 1+2+3+4+5... = 55*100=5500. But since 8 were missing (5492) it meant that 8 rings missed 1 gram, and since #8 had 8 rings, he was the thief!
