This wheel is working is this simulation software, but not in the real world.

The design is simple, and easy to understand.

In the real world, the wheel doesn't have enough power to move the weight, so the wheel don't rotate. You can try adding more weight, more space to slide, but at the end the wheel will not rotate.

This was an attempt by Bessler to design a perpetual motion machine. He claimed that it worked, but of course it did not. Only by cheating physics with programs such as Algodoo can you make a perpetual motion machine appear to work.
