This special arm is able to follow your cursor up to 12m from it's root away! It works mechanically, i.e. motion occurs by motors, but is controlled using scripts in each hinge calculating the required angle and adjusting the motorspeed to the desired value. Try moving your mouse around inside the red Circle, and you will see that the arm will always be able to adjust itself to touch it!

P.S.: This kind of reminds me of my first published scene which was about a simple laser pointing at the mouse. How times change :lol:

Nicely done, FRA32! I like the way it neatly folds up as the cursor moves toward the center of the circle. :tup:

Suggestion: It's not necessary to write "Run the scene", because those of us who are older than 12 years old already understand that the scene must be run in order for it to function. And for the children who have no interest or no clue what this is or what it does, it doesn't matter if they run the scene or not. :lol:

I just write that because I always use a box as a preview image, and I write that on top so the smoll kids dont think I am presenting them an image scene
But it's propably just a habit of mine :lol:

Thats nice. but what i noticed is that the "spring" will "Coil" up when i move my mouse pointer within 10m. sorry to say. but it makes me kinda uncomfortable when it does this. and i understand it wouldnt look good if you set the uncoiling distances smaller. so if you can fix it somehow i would make this scene look good for you

The uncoiling is a feature added on purpose. Whenever you get closer to the center, the spring will coil up as far as possible before it is unable to reach your cursor. Vice-versa, when you move your mouse away from the center, it keeps on uncoiling to keep up. I added it as a bonus feature, since making an arm that just has 12 pieces arranged in a ^v^v^v^ fashion seemed too boring to me. Sorry if you dont like it.
