LADA 110 (razg. "tenth family" [2][3]) — a family of cars produced from 1995 to 2009 at AvtoVAZ, as well as other industries, in Egypt, this model was assembled from 2005-2015. It is the third generation of passenger cars produced by VAZ. The head model of the family is the VAZ-2110 sedan, the VAZ-2111 station wagon and the VAZ-2112 five-door hatchback were also produced. Work on the creation of the third generation began in 1985, which coincided with the change in the index of the mastered sedan body type from the Sputnik family of models, which as a result received the designation: VAZ-21099. The vacated VAZ-2110 index was assigned to the basic model of the third generation.

Unlike the previous generation, the development of this one began with the usual sedan body type. The first prototype of the VAZ-2110 series " 0 " appeared in July 1985. The layout of the next version was designated "100" and differed slightly from the first. The layout of the "200" series was a more developed version of the "100" series, with improved aerodynamics. In 1987, the layout of the "300" series was formed, the image of which became final. The family of models is built on the platform "Gamma" - VAZ-2108. In the November issue of the magazine "Behind the Wheel" for 1990, spy photos of the pre-production model were published, taken at the Porsche training ground [4]. Serial production of the VAZ-2110 was planned to begin in 1992, but due to the economic crisis, these plans were postponed for several years. During mass production, one of the main design solutions that was originally laid down and is an integral part of the whole image of the models of this family was abandoned: the black coating of the door window frames, the frames of the side rear windows/windows, the lower parts of the body sidewalls, doors and bumpers. Also, external rear-view mirrors that are attached to doors under windows (and not to the corners of window openings) were not used.

In the same style with this family of cars, the body of the IV generation of GAZ/UAZ cross — country cars-the UAZ-3160 model-was made.

Under the circumstances, VAZ became the only plant that produced the modern generation of passenger cars for 1990-2000 - VAZ-2110. Its peers-generations of other factories for the production of passenger cars: GAZ-3103, AZLK-2143, ZAZ-1106 have not been developed
