With this method in the scene, the fluid should level out on both sides eventually when the valves(gray)are opended, while in the particle base one and the blocky one, the “fluid” barely flows at all.

Fun fact: If you set the friction and restitution values to as they would be in a perfect environment (0 friction, 1x restitution), all the particles level out, fluid, circle, and boxes alike.
