This is a very old mechanical escapement mechanism that was used to keep clocks ticking at the correct time. I colored the individual components so that you can see them moving independently of the other components.
I realize that it's far from perfect, and it does not "tick" at the correct pulse rate, but it does "tick". If anyone would like to improve what I did, please be my guest. I'm sure that some of you mechanically-minded geniuses could do a much better job than I did.
Rev. A -- Adjusted things for a smoother (less bouncy) motion.
Hey Xray, how do i make a working space shooting game? Im making a scene called: "Space shooter stage 1", that works like this one: http://www.rw-designer.com/cosmic-journey
MyNameIsThis -- To explain how to make a working space shooting game would be much too large and complex to write here in the comments. There are too many details that would have to be explained. The first thing I would suggest is for you to learn Thyme Scripting. Until you are proficient with scripting, you won't be able to make a serious space shooter game. After you lean Thyme Scripting, then you should download games that others have made to get some ideas. That's how most other people learned how to make games here on Algobox.
