It's about time I got around to showing off that new troop I mentioned... wait it's been exactly 11 months? Wow! Ok about the map itself!
It's time to Meet the Sniper! As you can probably expect, he specializes in long range combat, but his weapon works just the same up close. It's the first Laser based troop, which means we now have 4 damage types! When his weapon reloads, it's range goes up gradually but still fairly quick. You'll know what I mean when you see it in action. As you can also expect, he has almost no health, the same as a Landmine!
There's also a few new parts that are being shown off! Of the three, I'll start with the simplest one, a mini-spinner. It's a spinner that's smaller and spins slower. Next is the "Short Wall" part. It prevents marbles from going through it, but allows all projectiles to pass right through! Admittedly it isn't very good cover, but it allows for more interesting map design.
The final new part is the cannon, and it's also the most noticeable of the three. Pressing the pad behind it causes it to fire a cannonball with your team color on it! Cannonballs detonate on the first thing they collide with and greatly damage any nearby enemy! Don't worry, it has friendly fire turned off. After a few seconds, the cannon will be ready to fire again! I think that's about all I have to say for this map, so enjoy!
Troops:
- Spearman: The classic melee troop with 5 health and a pointy, 2 damage spear returns, simple as ever! Just point your sharp stick at the enemy, and watch as they get melted with high damage!
- Cannoneer: The ol' fashioned ranged menace. It's more fragile than the Spearman, but it brought it's trusty cannon to the battlefield, allowing it to hit enemies from afar!
- Engineer: Slinging his trusty wrench alongside him and knowledge in mechanical construction and repair, the Engineer brings with him the blueprints for a dispensable building! The building will pulse every 6 (previously 8) seconds, which can heal his team and damage enemies inside the radius! Plus, it makes a good shield, if things go awry!
- Bomber: Long gone are the days of the reskinned cannon, this time the Bomber means business! This time he brought his favorite high-power rocket launcher, and is ready to blow the opposition to smithereens! Those who underestimate "Ol' Boomstick" are in for an explosive surprise!
- Healer: "Oh no, my team is terrible at living!" you say! Fret no more! We have a dedicated doctor on the field! Sometimes buildings just won't cut it, so we enlisted our neighborhood Healers to do it instead! They're so good at healing, that they can even heal troops up to 50% more than they're built to handle! They're just that good! Even contact with their staff head will result in getting healed! Too bad they can't kill anyone though. Oh well, you take the pros and cons
- Blacksmith: When you need someone to motivate you, leave it to the blacksmith to sharpen your spears and tune your barrels for maximum damage! With him and his damage buffs by your side, your team will be better than ever at punching a hole in the enemy team, leaving them running for the hills! Just like the hills, however, their escape doesn't exist...
- Booster: Here's a quote from a professional Booster: "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" Yup, a Booster lives with the thrill of high speeds being their motivating factor going into each battle! With their powerful thruster behind them at all times, they're unafraid to dash into any situation with their high-damage ramming spikes!
(NEW!) - Sniper: It's a good job mate! As long as there's people left on both teams, someone's gonna want someone dead! Getting down to business now, Snipers are (expectedly) very skilled in long range combat with their futuristic Laser-powered technology! It takes ten seconds to charge, but getting shot by one of these laser blasts deals a hefty three damage! That's enough to one-shot most troops! Sniping is still challenging work, though, as they have very little health to work with! Staying at distances is crucial for their safety! |
