I've spent much less time the last few years making algothings, and have been learning storywriting and 3D animation in all that time. I decided on a whim to make a quick little animation system inside Algodoo today with my knowledge on how Blender works, and before you is an animation of a bouncing box. I'll add details about what everything's for and perhaps organize the scene shortly. For now, watch the box bounce a few million times or somethin xD

UPD: added some text walls that explain a little on how the scene works and how to make your own

epic
very neat
This is cool, but I'm more interested in 3D simulations. Any chance you might show off what you've learned by posting some cool 3D animated scenes? (fingers crossed):)
Nice demonstration.
WHAT?! I made an animation engine too, but the way that you also added in easings amazes me!
CPJchute - A hilarious coincidence! I was notified of your animation scene just now, and suspected my scene inspired you creating yours, so I was surprised to discover yours was first! x3

And yea, I knew easings were based on beziers, having done a little animation myself by now hehe

Xray - I don't think I fully understand what you mean, and I think I'd have to learn some tricks to do that, whatever that is exactly. Clarify? lol
Perhaps you want to see some GIFs I've made?

Nice animations, very well made (I liked the cube loop)
UDG04 --

Question: Clarify?

Answer: You stated that you have been learning 3D animation. So, I was hoping that you could put that knowledge to use here on Algobox by creating one or more simple scenes that demonstrate simulated 3D animations on Algodoo which, as you know, has only 2D capabilities. I have posted a few scenes that demonstrate 3D animations (e.g., rolling/bouncing balls) but they are far from what they could be if I knew the proper techniques and equations for displaying 3D images on a 2D display. Of course if you don't want to do that for any reason, I will respect your decision.

Thanks!
The vast majority of what I've been learning (that has anything in common with Algodoo) is unfortunately exclusive to 3D, or at best, much harder to explain in 2d:(

Most of what I've been learning is just how to use Blender, namely rigging and shaders and geometry nodes, and facial expression work, which I absolutely couldn't do justice in Algodoo.

Oh no problem. I completely understand as I have played around with Blender about ten years ago and I know that it is totally different from Algodoo.

I like the fact that overall your scenes are technical and well made. Keep up the great work!
Pssh! This one was made in like 4 hours.:P
