Mailboxes are permanently placed in any vacant/bought homes. Your original postal service will give you mail if you have signed up for anything.
People use hands to raise up the mailboxes' flags, and even open the lid to check mail.
If you don't know what a mailbox is, go to Wikipedia and search "Mailbox".
There are thousands of types of mailboxes in homes.

There are a few problems with this scene:

1. The red flag is glued to the background. So, instead of the flag raising and lowering, it stays in one spot and the mailbox rotates! You can fix that by selecting the red flag, then open the Edit menu. Then hover your cursor on "Geometry actions". Then click on "Loosen". After you do that, you must now do the opposite with the mailbox. Select the mailbox body (not the lid), then open the Edit menu and hover down to "Geometry actions". Click on "Glue to background"

2. Your instruction to lower flag with L key is wrong. You actually have the B key selected to lower the flag!
