The HESS lighTram 10 Plug is a battery-electric midibus built by the Swiss manufacturer Carrosserie HESS and used by VBZ mainly on neighborhood (Quartierbus) routes. It is about 11 meters long, has a low-floor design for easy boarding, and is especially suited for narrow streets and residential areas. The bus runs quietly and without exhaust emissions, improving comfort for passengers and residents. It is charged via a plug at the depot, using renewable electricity, and is designed specifically for efficient urban stop-and-go operation.
