This is an updated version of my recent bowling game.

How to play: After the scene loads, press the simulation RUN button (You can also tap the Space Bar on your keyboard). At the beginning of each frame the ball will place on the center of the lane just behind the Foul line. You can adjust the position of the ball along the foul line with the Left and Right arrow keys before launching it toward the pins. Finally, launch the ball by pressing the Up arrow key.

A thank you goes out to user ploters who mentioned how weirdly the bowling ball moved in the previous version. So I improved the physics of how the ball moves and now it looks and acts much more like a real bowling ball. The ball even follows the grain of the floor boards! That did not happen in the previous game and I am embarrassed to admit it. I always strive for realism in my scenes as much a possible. I love physics but I have a lot to learn about how to simulate the real world in Algodoo. Math is the secret tool!

Another issue that the previous version had made the game very easy to get a perfect score (300 points) nearly every time you played it. You simply did not need to move the ball left or right. You just had to press the "up" key to launch the ball and all ten pins would drop! That may seem cool at first, but it very quickly became boring, and it wasn't something that you could brag about to others! Now during the first ball of each frame, the collision layers of the ball become randomized so that it only interacts with certain pins. During the second ball of each frame all the collision layers are set so that you can possibly mow down the remaining pins that were still standing. You can still possibly get a score of 300 but it will be much more difficult with this new version. :y

Now, i got a final score of 225 by doing absolutely nothing. My results:
1: 6 + SPARE = 19
2: 9 + SPARE = 39
3: STRIKE = 69
4: STRIKE = 99
5: STRIKE = 129
6: STRIKE = 155
7: STRIKE = 175
8: 6 + SPARE = 194
9: 9 + SPARE = 209
10: 5 + SPARE = 225
Extra: 6
lol
DANGA -- How did you get such a high score by doing "absolutely nothing"? Every time I tried that I got a score of zero! The only times I got a score is when I launched the ball during each frame!
I don't really know. I just kept the ball at the same spot and launched it.
Oh, the truth comes out! You didn't "do nothing", you actually did "something"! You launched the ball!
i meant "do nothing" by not moving the ball
Yup, I knew that's what you meant. I was just having a little fun with you.
Xray, i have a question: are scenes that are diagrams of historical monarch family trees, e.g. the Kievan Rus, allowed?
Danga, I would have to see the actual scene in order to determine if it breaks any rules. For example, If if I tell you that it's allowed to show certain people in a scene, but later I find out that you show them naked, then of course it would be against the rules. The question isn't always WHAT you are allowed to put in a scene but also HOW you show it in the scene.
no, it's just boxes connected by lines and stuff
Okay that should be no problem. Thanks!
My score is 208
Not bad, Jopjop610!
i got 232 score! (i had a strike where i knocked down every pin until the 4th laucnh where i kept doing spares... but i got it back at 8 onwards)
Nice score! Keep working at it... You might someday hit 300!
Hey Xray, this comment was made when I was still working on skybox layers v1.6 (sun update)
You should check it out when I’m done
Also if you want, reply
I’m back I’m still working on v1.6
Why do you make a new comment for every sentence? When you do that it clutters up other people's comment section (like mine) with a long string of single-sentence comments! That makes you look like someone who has nothing better to do than to write as many comments as you can. Suggestion: THINK about what you want to talk about and after you know what you want to say, then say it all in ONE multi-sentence comment. After entering a comment and you think of something else you want to say, then EDIT your existing comment instead of adding another single-sentence comment. In other words, make your comments like you see how I make MY comments. All of my thoughts in ONE SINGLE comment block.

Idk why but I’m using my tablet to make v1.6 to v1.9 and imma use my computer to add names on v2 im just using my tablet for v1.6 to v1.9 because idk how to add these textures into Algodoo on computer (well, kinda. I kinda forget sometimes.)
I have no idea what you're talking about but I'm glad that you put all of your thoughts into just one comment. Congratulations!
