Why not store all of the info in the oncollide, not in the hinge speed? Also, lasers make much better refreshers, but if you cannot, thats ok:).
This is the one i used, i put the code below into the oncollide, and scene.my.XXXX into the hinger of a car:) Then just added *X to suit how big the wheels were

(e)=>{scene.my.XXXX = (app.mousepos(0) - e.pos(0))} and then for the hinges, just put scene.my.XXXX:)
