Explosively formed projectile is a slight variation of standard shaped charge that creates hypervelocity solid projectile rather than metal jet.
It's used in some anti tank shells/rockets.
Here's man-portable version of this weapon. Recoil sends man flying, and explosion could probably kill him, but who cares :devil:

Deformable metal plate is now a chain, and doesn't use any attraction. Projectile is formed by explosion only.

still forms itself even without explosion.
i would attempt to make one in algodoo by using a chain with auto-brake.

Yep it uses attraction. Barely forms itself without it too, but then shatters in flight. :/
