automatically selects gears for you use up and down to move gear selector and d to accelerate, s to brake. The gauge is a tachometer thanks to Kilinich for the K probe reverse is a little choppy but does the job
in case you're unfamiliar with automatic cars:
P - Park (Applies parking pin within transmission)
R - Reverse
N - Neutral
D - Drive (just pop it in drive and let the tranny do all the calculating)
2 - Limits transmission to 2nd gear
1 - Same as above for 1st gear
