Main feature of this Chevrolet Niva - it's absolutely controlled by driver's body. No motors in any of car parts - only in hands and legs of manikin. Plus, engine is "real" collision-engine, automatic 4-speed gearbox and planetary gear 4x4 transmission (well, ok 2x2)

Realistic size/weight of almost everything...

D - clutch toggle (or Drive/Park mode)
B - handbrake toggle
Up - accelerate
Down - brake

To pass slippy traps you must learn to use brakes with acceleration. If front wheel trapped - brake it! if rear - use handbrake.

upd: smooth rpm, fail-safe code, remove soft-wheels and normalizer, x0.8 sim

If you have problem with running follow steps:
1) Update Algodoo (1.8.0 atm)
2) Reset config (Options -> Reset)
3) If it runs slow - try lite version

Looks good but there's a problem. The meters don't work. It shows full rpm and speed, and the gear is always 4.

2Mr. crash: I've test on 3 different pc and it's work fine so:
1) use Algodoo 1.8.0
2) try reset config

Thats great! But you should make original Lada Niva, Niva is better that BMW X5 :yum:

All mehcanics are great, i completly dunno how you make this engine such powerfull with real weight. Kinda strange for me is clutch in automatic gearbox.
10 from me.

I'm trying to do spawn engine, btw. what way is the best? Springy, spawn, or damping engine? Maybe you know other egnines?

Why does it only run at sim speed of 0.30? Makes the car feel "floaty". Great scene BTW. I'm going to rate a 10 anyway.

EDIT: I just read that writing under the video. My PC must be slow. :bonk:

I use algodoo 1.8.0 running at 100hz, but it still always uses 4th gear and always says it has high rpm (which might be why it shifts up)

maybe use diffrent rotary velocity detectors??

the gauges don't respond to me revving the engine or how fast i go and it always stays in first gear for me

EDIT: Sorry when i loaded the scene for the first time something didn't work but i retried and it works fine now!

ahaha!!! i got it, when i push up, the leg is not strong enough to push down the pedal, so i pushed it down manually, the engine sped up, so i fixtated where it waas and now a can drive it

10/10, although to much bugs.
