A very strange motor that I found completely on accident while trying to make a transmission. When you get the motor spinning at about 10 rad/s, it speeds up on its own and goes to around 25 rad/s. The glitch that I suspect the motor runs on does not run the motor at 1000 Hz. I have not tested this motor for strength or reliability, but I doubt it's very strong or reliable.

If anybody knows why this motor works how it does, please tell me. I'm very curious as to how it works.

Hey, that things awesome!

It can go 14m/s up a 25 degree slope. With some tweaking I'm sure it could do even more.

No idea how it works, but I think it's from the hinges glitching.

I think I may steal this :*) nice discovery!

The principle of this motor is basically the same as any zero-length spring engine—springs mounted off-center on a circle, pulling on bodies hinged to that circle, almost always produce torque somehow. I'm not sure whether this one is any better than the most basic type—it's certainly a novel mechanism but, because it has more parts, may be more prone to exploding.

Okay, thanks for the information guys. I'm glad it's powerful enough to go up a 25 degree slope, and I'm kinda disappointed that it's not anything new, but thanks for the help.
