I put the circles inside the big circle and changed the attraction and they started spinning like this even though there is nothing attaching anything together. It stays spinning even though I changed the attraction back to 0

It also seems to work with any version of algodoo

The circles may not lose energy because the friction is set to 0, the donut is round and their velocity vector vertical to the collision/overlapping force which is has like attraction the direction to the center of the donut.
