Just press 1 then 2 when the bottom of the missile is almost pointing towards the ground. I am sorry there is no bomb. But I have an idea as to how to implement an explode on contact AND how to make it fire with only 1 button press!
PROBLEMS SOLVED:
7 times out of 10 the missile will travel straight with the empty warhead facing forward.

Cool idea, but I think the spring should be stronger and there should be a top to the guiding part so that it can follow the track better. Also if you want to get rid of the springs altogether and use hinged circles that would work too.

If i understand correctly then you suggest wheels? The reason i don't like that is because while i want the missile to point forward i don't want it to follow the path perfectly. I want it to swing around a bit.

But don't you think the swinging of the arm will simulate that just fine? I don't mean four wheels, just 2 in the front. And the point of the hinge is more for the springiness it offers rather than being a motor or something.

What about the initial ejection? Do you think that with 2 wheels in the front will the missile still angle down after coming out of the tube?

I believe what Paradigmn meant was to use the stretchyness of hinges.. you could simulate a spring with it if you play around with the mass difference between the two pieces the hinge connects
