It produces a vibrating action with only one moving part. It can be integrated into many things, like a hopper for a rock sorter. Normally, pouring a bunch of rocks into a hopper all at once often results in a massive jam at the bottom. This vibrator can reduce jams by allowing rocks to shift and therefore increases the flow.

To use this in your own scene, just select the whole thing, save it as a phunlet, and then simply drag it out of the phunlet menu onto where you want it to be attached. The hinges on the end will show the color of the underlying object (inside the little hole in the center) when it is properly connected to the object under it.
