I love how creative you are. This is how people discover revolutionary things in algodoo
Keep creating!
I still don't like this type of "jets" because they're not as good as density ones.
But it's better than lethalsquirl's!
When the piston moves upward, its airfrictionmult is 0, on the down stroke its higher which drags the car forward
Lol whos lethalsquirl?
What do you mean, Linkage? I dont have any jets like this xD

Oh I was sure you did one  I meant the first one Jimmy did xD
some of the early air engines just used an offset crank setup
that caused the reaction members to come down much faster than they
go up...
I wish I could find that it was quite elegant:bonk:
There is a guy on youtube that's talking about making a space drive with this principal but I have not been able to recreate it in Algodoo YET
I am making a rotary version of this. Be prepared:D
I hate how this face ---->:D has really red cheeks. This is not what I look like when I make this face lol.
ummm, whi do u set hinges with left and right key control? there's no engine, just hinges
Because the hinges must be rotating for the engine to work. Its more of a "propellor" than an engine. The air friction of the piston is what makes it move. It needs to be turning when either the left or right arrows are pressed.
This is kinda like a bird wing. Higher air friction on the down stroke creates a moving force, and the wings have less resistance upwards so that force isnt lost.
