Gone are the days of sponge wheels that cant put the power down!
Here is a test of the newest airless tires Po-Boy Racing has to offer.
I was tired of trying to put sponge/soft tires on vehicles when nothing out there could put down the power i required, so, i created these, uni-directional, high strength tires that can take incredible amounts of torque thanks to the tires double rolling system that utilizes centrifugal force to keep the contact patch in order.
PROS: More Contact Patch/More Grip (as opposed to hard wheels)
Shock Absorption (again as opposed to hard wheels)
High Strength/"High" Speed (as opposed to any other soft wheel/tire
that ive seen)
CONS: Significantly high rolling resistance (as opposed to hard wheels)
these tires are on a slightly modified version of my off-road chassis (now 3 speed because 4th would bog down so much it would break and i didnt want to fix this because it would require the buggy being too heavy and imbalanced for off-roading (also i am lazy
).
