Calling the upload destructible and telling us to use the cut tool is a bit like uploading a blank video to a porn site and telling the viewers to get a girlfriend...
@ crytek: Hey! You made a ragdoll, a car and so many other things that have been made before. You must give credit to the inventors of ragdolls, cars and all the other things. Otherwise you are stealing! That's right: STEALING!!!! YOU THIEF!!!
Seriously, why are you so arrogant?
Yes, but it would lag like hell to have that many colliding parts, unless you have a monster of a PC. Basically it's not hard. Just copy the blood from the body inside the legs, dlete the particles that would be inside the leg polygons, make the ones left collide with the group of the limb and finally move it to the correct visual level.
I guess, in order to get the textured tires you cut out the ones of the picture. The result was that you don't have round tires. Simply select the tires, open the geometry actions menu and select "transform into circle". That should stop the jumping.
You could also try to make rims on your own, like I did with my bike. It's just my personal opinion, but I think that textures always look a bit strange in Phun.
There are many good tutorials for suspensions on Algobox.
Hell of a busy time for me. I really don't know when I'll be done or how the result will look like. At some point I even thought about making an entirely new ragdoll. But right now I'm preparing for my final exams this semester and during the holidays I will have to prepare for my Muay Thai class in the summer (I'll finally be a coach! ). I'll try my best to not let you down, but I cannot make any promises. Sorry.
I am German and I think that this scene expresses my feelings towards this man pretty accurately. I would have included something hitting him in the balls, but sadly history showed us that he didn't have any.
I will never give up!!!
I will only have to finish my final paper for the Winter semester (probably next week) and then I will have some time to try things out. Actually, my Muay Thai classes helped me a lot in understanding the human body. I will see if I can use that to improve the final ragdoll and make it more stable than Mike, especially the elbows and legs.
Ah man. "Cleavage" made me think of "Summer in the City" by Regina Spektor. Awesome artist, awesome music. Totally unrelated comment... It's summer, yay!!!
You probably opened an Algodoo scene. Just load an other scene and quit Phun. Then delete your config.ini. After that, open Phun and everything will be fine again. You'll just have to adjust the settings again. It's a good idea to keep a copy of your config.ini once you have done your settings. If you want to try out an Algodoo scene or realise that the scripting in a scene causes this bug you will not have to delete the file but simply replace it with your backup.
This should be a forumpost. The Algobox is only supposed to feature scenes using the program. You could also include this box into the original scene and write the same stuff into the description.
Yep.
Today I wrote a test in Old English (terrible stuff) but that means I finally have a few weeks off. So I'm going to start the new one. No date of publication, though. It's done when it's done. I really want it to look cool and be as reliable as Bob... And I have to think of a new name and background story.
I'm totally gonna use this comment to post updates on the new ragdoll. The first prototype (torso, arms and legs) is done. It's in no way polished and neither the joints nor the design are perfect. I'm still not sure about one specific decision regarding the back. I will make it during testing. It's probably not going to take very long now. Just had to get my backside moving and get the university stuff out of the way.
Seems like today's the day. A bit of tweaking and a new one will be up.
A few problems with the joints. I'll make sure that they work properly before uploading it.
He is supposed to be bendy. That's the only way to simulate the bendiness of the human spine without joints and at the same time making him deformable. But if there is something specific that seems not right to you it would be helpful if you described that, so that I can see if I can change something.
I always wondered whether or not I should add auto-brakes to the main hinges of the limbs to make him less floppy, but I thought that since he basically is a ragdoll, i.e. a lifeless body, that it would be most reasonable the way it is. If it really bothers you you can manually select those 12 hinges (shoulders, elbows, hands, hips, knees and feet) and assign one. I guess a reasonable number would be 100 Nm motor strength. Feel free to experiment with that value.
That's just the visual parts. I tried to make it look a bit like an adam's apple. You can change the shape with the brush to make it look the way you want it to.
Yeah, I'm still pretty busy. I still have a concept of the scene I want to upload next and I simply can't find the time to finish it, although it's not that complicated (yet). But on this site I'm kind of a lurker anyway. I regularly check out the latest scenes.
