Xray, one thing you can try is to find an unusual way to launch the ball into play instead of a plunger. On one of my pinball games I used a rocket to launch the ball into play and on another I used an army tank to fire the ball into play.
You can check them out for those and other ideas, they both have unique things that happen during play that may give you ideas if you havent seen them before here are the links.....
What a great scene! I havent updated to b15 yet because the last time I updated it crashed my Algodoo and I just got it going again. This scene my be what makes me update anyway....lol
There are so many great looking scenes like this one made with b15 that I am gonna have to risk another update crash...Im still on b1 and afraid to chance it but you guys are finding great stuff to do with it!
Just 2 keys are really needed, up to go up and right to go forward and you glide when you let off. After a little gliding the bird starts to loose altitude a real birds do so you have to flap your wings once in a while (Up or right keys).
One of my favorite planes too! I made a safe landing on the 3rd try, might have been 2nd try but I was still half asleep.....lol.
I like the landing gear linkage and action most of all. Great work again and Happy New Years!
I had the same landing gear problems with my Horten. IIRC I used Real small transparent high density parts where ever hinges were so I could keep the larger visible parts light but even at that I had to use a another transparent part to support the plane on the ground. Because it was too hard to go back and add the small parts for mounting hinges to the far side gear I had to cheat. Next time I know to do that from the start.
My Horten also had a locking mechanism that was nothing more than circles that changed to a collide group that kept the gear in place and would change groups again to allow the gear to lower back down. The Horten was odd to make the gear from the start because the plane was drawn in 3d and I wanted to make the gear appear to work in the same 3d perspective, along with the wheels that appear to roll in a sort of 3d.
And I agree the farther you get in a project the crazier it can get!!! I have a few scenes that I have given up on because they got way out of hand and would require someone like Kilinich to finish.
Thanks Gent, Mom has a very high white blood cell count that they thought was a bladder infection but now they are not so sure and the alternatives arent good. 5 days and they still arent sure? Thats scary too!
Oh ya, I going back to more typical scenes instaed of the unusual scenes like the eagle and this thing......lol
