Uhh you do know that this scene is so freaking insultive that it should be banned. XRay did nothing wrong, and the only person who did everything wrong was:
Ultragamer
He was a freaking crybaby causing every comment section he visits to go nuts without listening to XRay and the warnings he send him on basis of ALGORYX(Not XRay's) rules that were up for the Algobox which he just kept violating...
uuh, dont you think you barely get signups because algodoo camps are not very favored? Sure there are a lot of fans, but have you ever peeked into the group of people that dont like these
I don't know if you have noticed, but there is quite some stuff going on behind the scenes. I am part of an algodoo group and there some people have quite some issues with these camps, especially when other users start posting a lot of them per day. Maybe try something different so that the algobox has a bit more variety and not just 50% camps and marbles, and 50% the rest...
Here is a simple tactic: Put your (crappy) ideas into a scene, then add the other ideas, and then try to fuse them to something really good. That's something I sometimes do, which often results in a whole new idea that is actually good enough to upload. You know, I own algodoo since 2 years, but only own 55 scenes, since I don't always own ideas for good scenes. I do own lots of ideas, but I always wait untill I have managed to get an idea that is worth uploading, since I prefer good scenes over spontanious scenes
Boyguybrodude, please try to stop writing such spam-like messages. People will just compare you to small kids if you keep writing long letter-chains...
dude dont make any scenes that dont even do anything. Use the forum if you have complainments...
Also, why the thing with "no more scenes" ? If people rate your scenes down, its because they dont like the scenes, which means you have to try something different and something better. If you actually really WANTED to do something special, you could have asked someone (for example me) if he taught you scripting or stuff, since scripting is something which can make most scenes quite special. But dont do stuff like this scene, people just consider it as spam.
First of all, algodoo is NO CHATBOX, so dont use scenes for private messages, that's what we have the forum for
Second, what do you even mean? I can't understand what your glitch is supposed to be. If you talk about the axles vanishing, its because they wont be displayed if they are to small relativ to the zoom. If you talk about the rope glitching when motorized, it's because the segments collide with each other
There's an importand fact you need to know: all "events" (code that starts with (e)=>{) own the e inside the () as a parameter, keeping tract of all data of the event using a view variables and 1-2 references that give you the ability to interact with the participating objects(usually this and other/geom). When you want to access any variable, just call that variable using the reference, i.e. e.other.text (the text of the "other" object recorded in e)
This works with any event, just that the onLaserHit event uses e.geom instead of e.other, and that onCollide is the only event that uses e.other . You could also access the executing objects var's directly by just writing the name(i.e. pos = [2,5])
Remember to ask me via forum about thyme, then I can teach you even before you upload a scene
I agree with the adding of traffic lights, but you need to imagine the costs to place all of these, wire them(such roads often stretch over kilometers), and then get a CPU to control them. You also need to remember that the roads that are "red" quickly fill up over dozens of dozens of meters, and once they finally go green(something a normal person in a car does not want to wait for), the reaction time of all these person will cause the line to slowly acellerate to maximum(once the first person starts driving, the last person notices this about 5 minutes later). This causes the other lines for ones to wait even longer again, resulting in them filling once again. One of the usual problems in traffic jams is the transmission of the signal that you can drive. For every driver, about 1 second has to pass in order for the next one to start driving. multiply this by the length of the road divided by the average car size, and you get quite some delay. Then add the time needet for the last member of the line to reach the end of the jam, and you get an even larger number. And if you have to multiply that time by the amount of merging roads, you get a time that no normal person likes to wait if he is heading home from a tiring day of work and just wants to relax...
You can actually be lucky you've got a "connection" to some *popular* (no selfadvertising xD) users on algobox. Ask them(not the algocampers) if they give you tips, and if you're lucky and if you ask the right person, he may be willing to give you some cool tricks. This way you see a whole new range of things to do. Just picture this: Right now you probably barely know how to use scripting, but imagine one gives you a full-tour AND a view demonstrations! You could do all kinds of things from that moment on that you didnt even think were possible! You just need to:
1st: Learn
2nd: Try
3rd: Work
If you do all of these, especially the 3rd, you could even make scenes that would get uprated, and as we all know people need to be really impressed if they want to move their mouse over their browser onto the rate bar, that's quite some special thing.
You just stole his work, that's called plagiarism, using others work to make it look as if you created it! And even if you did not intend on making it look like your work, reuploading other's work is still just garbage with a touch of theft...
Thats why some public places own a kiddie area(except swimming halls). So the kids do their kiddie stuff while the adults do the serious business. Question is, why wont anyone realize that we need this here too.
Also, huge error in thinking: If we would only look on the popular page, then it would die out because:
To get "popular", you need downloads, and downloads are made by people of your kind, who look on the popular, which has no scenes, because noone gives downloads, since downloads are made by people by your kind etc...
If we only lok there, it will die out and finally turn into an alternative news page. To get popular you need to lift off the majority, and this only works if you join the majority first...
1st the building is made of circles only, basically a pixel image...
2nd do they fall apart even before hitting any button
3rd are they not bombed, but just hit by a geometry that falls apart into fragments afterwards, barely dooing anything...
Boyguy, dont except ANYONE to help you if you type like a kid hamering on its keyboard...
Use the forum to edit your comments instead of tripple commenting everywhere
In what way are your scenes "importand" ? This scene for example does not seem imporand, and anything algocamp related is not importand at all. The only importand scenes in Algobox are the messages of admins, everything else is moderate, and algodo camp stuff is the opposite of importand ._.
And I never talked about scripting tutorials(there are some guides in the forum...) I talked about you directly asking users, but in a polite way, because noone has to help you, and if you just annoy them with these spam messages, you will crash into a wall.
@Devin H
My problem is not that algodoo camps dont own physics, it is that theres too many of them. Imagine this freaking thing: Over 2000 scenes are camp or marble race related! Do you know that? Thats1/30th of all of algobox! everything that is algodoo camp or marble race related has been done at least HUNDRETS of times! Thats why I recommend you guys to do somethnig different, since we can't stand to see these scenes another 1000 times...
megauser, please, put a little more efford in your scenes. They look like you dont even think about their visual appeal, nor do you put in much efford at all when creating them...
do you even read the comments? I said that you should put more efford in your scenes, since they, if I really have to say what I think, they look like garbage
Neither do they do anything special, nor are they visual appealing. Do something that people want to see, and dont just throw around what gets in your hands, because honestly noone cares about stuff like this.
could you please dont start so many contests/camps ? You are really owning a lot of them, and it should slowly stop now(you own 460 scenes, but only 7 subs, thats 1 sub every 65 scenes!). Try dooing something new any unique, because these 2000 camp scenes in the algobox are getting quite lame...
This is not even a tie breaker! You place the circle in a way that it is garuanteed to hit the left side first! Pure sabotage ,and I always thought these camps would be contests, but it seems they're filled with influence of the creator...
You know why I am actually so eager to help ya? You are the first person that i've met who used to make algocamps and marble stuff, but finally started dooing other kinds of scenes after realizing how many of these scenes exist >.<
If you keep it like that, with as few camp and marble scenes as possible, you could become something really cool, especially if you keep improving in your scripting ability.
If you check my very first scenes, You will notice that even I started "small". It may seem that my very first scenes were super-duper-advanced, but you must remember I already scripted before even uploading my first scene. Keep taking steps, and everytime your new skills enable you to do something really cool, try it and make something special out of it. This way you quickly get a lot of quality scene with a lot of variety.
Please no season 2, All I can see on algobox are camps, marbles and even more camps. You are just copying what has been done 2000 times, and that is really inoriginal
dude wtf is this supposed to be. If you want to start another marbl race or algodoo camp, then I recommend not to do so, because there are way to many scenes of this kind
1st minimal friction powers and inperfect orbit causing the orbit to alter, requiring the station, like ANY OTHER STATION, to be adjusted every now and then using integrated thrusters.
2nd. minimal offset rotation center caused by uneven masses. These are minimal, but if one would imagine them to be strong, they would cause the heavy side to own less "gravity", and the light side to own more.
