well, it only works in algodoo. In the script menu there'sa thing called inertiamultiplier. If you put +inf in this value it won't rotate

When I compared, the "10 step polygon" one looked better, but it seems like this scene was made with hurry,(or you tried to make it look simple excessively) so, with some work I think the gradient textured one may look better
