Heres what happened, my engine was already programmed to change direction with left and right. In the contest scene the trailer has controls that were right and left arrow keys. and i cant modify the trailer because of contest rules. the spring engine needs pistons to function, i have no idea what you mean when you say the pistons are pointless. it shakes a bit because i scaled the engine.
I have only tested it in phun, as i dont have algodoo. but if the only problem is the part elevator i should be able to adjust it to press the parts in harder.
I think i understand what you mean, i made a car using this engine and it worked fine for me.
damping is high because i didnt want to modify the weight of the engine to get power.
theres two flywheels each spinning in opposite directions, this counters the inertia that spring engines have. there linked in a way that prevents both flywheels from spinning the same direction, and this also combines both the flywheels power so you use all 8 cyl.
