Cool concept!
cool!
Already implemented;). Thanks a lot!
Very cool! I like this setting:
(e)=>{
Scene.addCircle({ color := [1.0, 1.0, 1.0, 0.8]; restitution := 0.1; buttonDestroy = "shift"; density := 0.2; drawBorder := false; drawCake := false; airFrictionMult := 1.5; radius := 0.06; heterocollide := false; zdepth := 0; pos := e.pos + scene.my.random(-0.2, 0.2) * scene.my.ort(e.normal); vel := e.normal * scene.my.random(5, 20) }) }
You should have called this one Gaz molecule simulation.
Very cool!
?? yes it does, maybe you started pressing forward before hitting start?
roffa:Rotors are the wrong way?? explain please.
Yianno: you can upload what you want but make it a response if it is based on my system.
Can you elaborate more on that?
LOL, you are on the featured scene, and the original one , that actually work, isn't.
Try to rotate something horizontally in a 2 dimensionnal world. I know exactly how real helicopters works, but it's impossible to replicate this complex 3d machine in a 2d world, I just tried to make it as realistic as possible.

I have only one thing to say : POWDER GAME:P
WOW! That is really cool.
Cool, maybe a good thing would be to add damping in the script. If you want , I can show you how damp any scripted device. Look at my latest scene, they almost all have damping into them: helicopter tail rotor, maglev , forlift, segway, levitation globe. Its pretty easy, but you have to know.
Ok, sorry. The bug happen when loaded on Phun. I will try to fix this. Else I will upload a Phun specific scene.

Edit: Ok the first bug is:
Spring strenght get to default value. I fixed this but then the problem is that the Math.toInt dones't seem to work on Phun, so Sinewave frequency can't be randomly produce and give a 0 value.

Please help if you know another way to transform to an integer!!

Ok I've managed to make it work on PHUN but in another version:

To machetegeek:
In fact yes it compress but with even more realism: the spring need support around him to compress without flexing away. Like a real one.
Like it!
Very cool that someone have pushed the idea this far. This is really cool.
Cool, really well tuned. One thing I suggest to you:

In the spark plug script, add the velocity of the engine to the added red circle properties. And to the fuel delivery to maybe. Like:

addcircle:.... vel := scene.my.enginevel....

This way the whole thing will keep its momentum and will be able of better high speed performance and reliability. It would also be more realistic because all things tend to keep its speed. And also this (keeping mass down so the car can move) would not be true anymore.
Do you know Jardinains? The best brick breaker in the world!
I'm trying to mimic it : http://www.algodoo.com/algobox/details.php?id=44923
Wow! Really great work.The simulation is near perfect. Would add more fun if it were destructable. I don't know if its because of my Algodoo version but it was unpowered. I had to change the density of the thrust circles. Then it flew right away! I even made multiple loop (with more power) and landing, and also stalls...
I've analysed in a couple of second the flight properties (I'm studiying in Aeronautics) and you should give your *collision wing* some attack angle relative to the fuselage, something like 4-5 degree or so. That way, the airplane would fly without having to nose up all the time.

Also, try to find the center of gravity of the plane (hinge it until it balance) and put your wing a little in front of it.

A couple of other thing could be check but this is the main thing that I see.

Hope to see future improvement !
Amazing ! I looked at the script in the .phn..... really a massive and brilliant ! Good job! I've tried to do a robot like this that simply respond to x,y input like app.mousepos... but never suceeded. I love this scene !
Nice! like Evolving Virtual Creature application! I also tried to do something similar with an evolving brain for a quadruped walker. But I only managed to code the random brain generator part... I don't know how to manage saving creature brains, load, etc.. You always suceed on what I fail... make me cry lol:P
Nice to see I inspired someone! :tup:
Nice effect ! 8/10
@lompilomp: I don`t get this error. Can you please say me what is the error by pressing the tild "~" ?

@Xray: control is mouse input.

Anyone having the same issue as lompilomp?
Nice!
NIce game and good looks ! Makes my Algodoo crash every now and then. Also it is very very hard...
