Nice idea. I tried repositioning the weights and even adding more weight and it still worked.
Did you increase the density of the part that the axle is attached to?
I initially doubted your quoted 700 hp but then I tested it for myself, gave 693 hp at 115 rad/s with 4500 torque, which gives a power-to-weight ratio of around 15 hp per kg. :)

Oh well, my best magnet motor was only like 300 nm :x
I might make my own version, if that's ok. I'll probably only use your bodywork, if that's ok.
Why care, that contest is dead anyway xD
*my first attempt*

After a few attempts, I was able to not die. This definitely deserves a 10, and maybe if you add cargo or the ability to walk on the moon or something hell I might even add this to my favorites :)
I hate those Wacom things!

I usually pull up a blueprint or something and work around it. I never use CSG because it's buggy, I use the polygon tool. But I don't do freehand, I usually use the shift key to draw a lot of little straight lines and then smooth it off with the knife tool (or whatever it's called  )
Yeah, it's hard to get right, but the result can be amazing if you're good at it! :)

Some of my older bodies didn't use this, and they look jagged and malformed as a result. :|
drag? wat...
that's my throttle system isn't it?

This is pretty cool! I powertested (for some reason) and it gave 600 torque at ~28 rad/s, so around 20 hp. Oh yeah, it's also 5 m tall and 2.7 tons.... I know that isn't the point here, so don't take it seriously...

For some reason this has hella lag on my comp. Actually the original DOHC with the chains and stuff gave me a better framerate. This drops my simtime to like 70% :(
stoooolen...
Go ahead, all my engines are free to use. (with credit given)
Well, that's not technically how wankels work, but it's a start...
I said you could use my 4r wankel! Don't even bother with any of my other rotaries, they're totally unusable anyway.

I might make a gearbox tutorial (maybe). I think Flashpoint made one though, but I'm too lazy to go and find it :|
It doesn't fly on my comp but it does do wheelies
@flashpoint - I can get 180 hp out of the older version of this with mods :D

@danijel - I've made several.

@The Linkage - Weird how you didn't go apesh:D t this time. Hmmm...
Why do you call it drag? :s

13k hp @ 20 rad/s. Now make us a dragster
If you want mega lag add a pullstart.
Like you said on my Ferrari about drag and it caused the car to fly, don't you mean thrust?

like it doesn't produce power through thrust, but with a power wheel....?

Grammar is annoying.
I was thinking about building a tutorial about that, but this guy beat me to it. He's who I learned most of my tech from, and I still can't do as well as him 99% of the time
@IHN At least hugh doesn't just yell STAAAHHHPPP
No need. This was only ever supposed to be a test/techdemo of a new ignition system I dreamed up where the ignition circles are glued to the crank-circle and not connected by a hinge, so they can't get misaligned.
Fun! But you should make the fly go faster.

You still get a 10 anyway :)
A nice car but it gets all screwed up because of the damned direct solvers. Why algoryx, whyyyyyy did you think that was a good idea??

If you fix it I'll give 10. I like your new style of building cars :)
Nope, not fixed. Maybe if all the Algoryx devs would stop jacking off all day and try and fix it, maybe this wouldn't be an issue.

I actually tried that once. Did nothing! <_<
dat wheels

Those are mine aren't they? Also, why do you never make your cars realsitic size/weight? This only weighs 9kg :|
