I initially doubted your quoted 700 hp but then I tested it for myself, gave 693 hp at 115 rad/s with 4500 torque, which gives a power-to-weight ratio of around 15 hp per kg.
Oh well, my best magnet motor was only like 300 nm
After a few attempts, I was able to not die. This definitely deserves a 10, and maybe if you add cargo or the ability to walk on the moon or something hell I might even add this to my favorites
I usually pull up a blueprint or something and work around it. I never use CSG because it's buggy, I use the polygon tool. But I don't do freehand, I usually use the shift key to draw a lot of little straight lines and then smooth it off with the knife tool (or whatever it's called )
This is pretty cool! I powertested (for some reason) and it gave 600 torque at ~28 rad/s, so around 20 hp. Oh yeah, it's also 5 m tall and 2.7 tons.... I know that isn't the point here, so don't take it seriously...
For some reason this has hella lag on my comp. Actually the original DOHC with the chains and stuff gave me a better framerate. This drops my simtime to like 70%
I was thinking about building a tutorial about that, but this guy beat me to it. He's who I learned most of my tech from, and I still can't do as well as him 99% of the time
No need. This was only ever supposed to be a test/techdemo of a new ignition system I dreamed up where the ignition circles are glued to the crank-circle and not connected by a hinge, so they can't get misaligned.
