@lethalsquirrel I sorta made this from scratch and then made it better as I went until I came up with this. Also I have seen the cherry MX keyboard scene, it's pretty cool how these things work if you think about it.

And since the key rotates slightly when it comes up, the beam of the laser follows the hole in the key so it's even.
