damping of "piston rods"
See my Fiat Bravo's scripts
It may be great, but I insist that the whole buggy just turns up.
That's much better! Good job
Oh, sorry then. It's almost the same as my older, mechanical version (click here)
This is just cut into little pieces and hinged to a box. also the wheels are just badly-aligned polygons.
I've never done a crashable car, but I think that it should have a structure that joints everything, and it should be deformable
But that's NOT AN ENGINE! You're accelerating with thrusters, that's cheating  4/10 until you fix it somewhat
Whoa faytree, this one won't become the most downloaded for sure xD. After it gets out of the popular screen it literally dies.

But vaidas, you're right about the "reputation" thing. My first scene that reached the first place here was the MB 250 CDI (which will burn your eyes with it's ugliness) and after that most of my scenes went there.
Heavier objects are harder to move than lighter, so if you spawn a heavy ball it might also move the engine block upwards.
Sim speed is set at 0.55x. put it at 1x
The smoke looks pretty bad. I always use vel:= entity.vel and then impulse the spawned balls with something like gent's gun tech

But the engine is plain awesome and I love that speed!

P.S I'm a bit late here :bonk:
Thanks for testing! I see that water gets bouncy after the first test, but it's not a big deal since the score doesn't change so much. Just take the last tests as the important ones

icrls984: You need a new processor there. Algodoo runs best on dual-cores
Xray: maybe your videocard doesn't handle the particles well(I tkink you said somewhere that you had a good CPU). But your score is quite good anyways
faytree: That's hell of a score for an 8 year-old computer. Dual-cores win here. You won't need any upgrade, but I'd buy 2 gigs more of RAM
homieeee: Whoa
epicface129: That is good. The CPU is good despite being pentium.

What I can see here is mostly that dual-cores and CPUs with hyperthreading (use much cores like one) work best. But if you enter in the console Threading.numThreads = x (being x the number of cores on your system, if there's more than one) may increase speed if your video card is good enough. I'm having a bottleneck on my computer (too big processor for the integrated card). Watch out for this if you're going to upgrade any part soon!
If you get a very low score just press undo and restart. You're supposed to run the scene three times or more for consistance
Not the fastest by far, also uses a spring engine
Redo it three times or so until you get more than 600 xD
Phil is right, your scenes are very inventive but most people (including me) surely couldn't see all of them.
I guess that you have lots of projects at one time, don't you? Personally I focus on one scene until it works at the lowest frequency possible (100 Hz at best).
Just practice. If you focus on making a real gun with a pretty skin and realistic mechanisms, maybe you'll turn out to be pretty good! I didn't have a clue on how guns worked but dissecting scenes from other people (especially ngphil and yuras12) helped. Try if you don't

10/10 well deserved
Good truck. Lotta details there, sure this was hard to make
vaidas, that's a collision engine
You're still cheating. If you'll add thrusters to the circles, why not just put a circle with a motor rather than putting an engine? Because it looks better? No, the idea of algodoo engines is to try to make one that can move the car without help from a motorized axle or thruster
read this
cause it seems that you didn't
I've got some trouble with that. My computer has a broken ethernet so I'll have it in a week or so. now I'm on the pentium 4 so I'll try to redesign it (you're the best, mine didn't have so much hp so you do it if ya want) but I'll do the body anyways. I can do it with my old comp
This engine is not even good. It runs at 700 Hz. I can make one WAY more powerful and that runs at 110 or more rad/s at 100 Hz
I have a prototype that youll love if I get it working well
Never seen one irl. In Argentina we have too limited car brands, I can count them with my fingers, and Mazda isnt one of those. Still it was a good car
Kilinich don't upset me xD the acceerator is W
You will
Christer, I was sure it had more. did you accelerate it when you tested?
You could make it more reliable (for it to work at lower freqs) if you used a bit more robust parts. but it's more than ok I think
You're using axles, so I wouldn't call that an engine
Works OK for me. You should raise the density of the hinged or precise-colliding things, because if they have more density they'll behave better
Search for "water pillars". algobox is full of this
why phunlet?
