I personally believe 60 is far too low to do any serious work in algodoo. It's borderline useless.
and anything less than 200 isn't ideal for any sort of mechanism with high tolerances and fast moving parts like engines.
I use 200 Hz in all my scenes because I think 200 should be the standard for algodoo and I stand by that.
I would love to help you out! Me and ngphil actually talk on skype on almost a daily basis and we help each other out a lot.
And I'll never leave Algodoo! Not unless you guys do.
Sometimes I lose the inspiration to make anything for months at a time. but I'll always come back

Ive been trying to make a mechanism like this for quite a while but Ive never been able to to figure something out. This is so brilliantly obvious! well done!
Yeah I know I could have done a mechanical one but I figured since algodoo is 2D this would be close enough lol.
It is mostly mechanical anyways, I just used thyme for the missing dimension.
And Im more than likely going to remove the hit and miss function when I put this engine on the vehicle Im planning to make. I made the engine and figured it would be fun to make it a hit and miss and upload it by itself.
The scene Im working on with this engine should be done some time tonight or tomorrow.

Are the boxes supposed to get damaged and eventually disappear? Because nothing is happening to the boxes for me. It basically just shoots at box 3 the whole time and nothing happens. sorry if Im missing something and just being stupid
