There is actually more lagg than you think but the gears go so fast you don't notice too much. Also I made the pipes as thin as possible (like the pipes as thin as needles in Terry Pratchets Making Money), so much so that water often leaks out which is why there are so many invisible walls.

the scripting is simple, most people just find the same script in different scenes. I normaly use one from the japanese scenes with a cog and wheel.

I'd never managed to get a working chain but it does look better with a real chain rather than just a fixated line.
