Do these work at 17990 RPM? Yes, I said seventeen thousand, nine hundred and ninety revolutions per minute. Thats the top speed of my spring engine. It just goes waaaaay too fast to use anything else, and it doesnt put out enough torque to drive a wheel directly, but it puts out that unrealistic rev so gearing it down should make it useful.
Is there a variable for hinge impulse (open the Information tab while an axle is selected)? I need it to make a rev limiter for my engine. There will be two circles mounted on the flywheel, connected to it with axles. On the update script, I want to get the amount of hinge impulse and set it to a scene.my variable so I can use it to control throttle.
Is there a variable for hinge impulse?
Is there a single number variable for axle impulse?

I need a code to change collision layers on a key. Im making a gearbox and I need to have this happen:

On key R the drive gear switches to collision layer A
On key 1 the drive gear switches to collision layer B
On key 2 the drive gear switches to collision layer C
On key 3 the drive gear switches to collision layer D
AND On key 4 it switches to collision layer E

The drive gear switches collision layers to mesh with each different output gear. So the reverse output gear is on layer A where pressing A would change the drive gear's collision set to collide with the reverse gear and therefore reversing the output rotation.
I just loaded this scene and then deleted all of the housing:D
Remember when you said your engine is faster? Well, it isn't anymore! My spring engines can reach 1884 rad/s. It sure makes 450 rad/s look very slow.
And 1884 rad/s is the highest speed possible in Algodoo. So now you can't have a faster engine.
Take a look at my spring engine, it is alot more stable.
It sprays alot of fuel, also the fuel is never used. The engine does not delete the fuel that has been "burned" it just creates circles.
It needs a bigger gas tank:o

Well, its actually rotating faster then the sim can handle (the engine already turns at limit RPM) which is why is spazzes out so much. Look at the engine RPM... it just stops at approx. 94 rad/s due to the simulation not being able to move the springs fast enough. Now add a small gear and it goes faster than that, which is unsupported and so it spazzes out.
I just removed the whole reverse gear assembly. It caused too many problems

The leg mechanism isnt so bad, its just got a very long lever action to produce a straight motion. Look at the blue tracer on the gray leg
I just fixed the rope bug:D
Yeah, just keep holding the arrow... it takes about 5 minutes
But I will gladly make it easier to climb the ropes.

Ropes are very finnicky and hard to really make good use of.
The first elimination box lost a marble.... Add a small wall to keep them from flying off. But it was very good and well-done
I was going to power this one with a spawn engine but my rotary engines produce too much back-torque (the housing tries to spin opposite of the engine's rotation) Look at my scene Ugly complicated offroader challenge: my entry to see what i mean.
