I've test same tank with classic suspension and can't find why this can be better :+ so looks like it's useless and will be just a concept for a better times...
2danielmokin: Tested in 1.8.0 and found no problem. Did you press "up arrow" to accelerate? Is there any error in console?

I think I'll make device that automatically decrease sim speed to guarantee at least 50hz lasers...

better do it via trace... короче будет проще и эффектнее использовать для этих целей следы - они единственный объект, который может менять свой размер во время симуляции. Дым/пыль вообще шикарно получаются.
2 mori-d: what you mean by "normal"? If you don't like textures I've try to show you how much it can improve view. If you taking about beacon - it's hard to catch ball without it... ;)

2mori-d: well, if you want to catch it fast - sensor inside ball is best way. Scene is too script-intensive, adding laser matrix with remote sensing will kill performance completely... :x

Still a little problem - after lasers refract smoke it can hit glass even it's far from rays... Try to move it slowly through the lasers under rays.
