How about YOU, wild bill? It's been a long time since you've posted a scene. Your scenes are very well made and fun to play! I hope you will keep 'em coming!
Valen -- First off, Algodoo is not a "game". It is a physics simulation app that can be used to make your own games. And, no, I am not the one who does updates to Algodoo. The company, Algoryx, is currently working on updating various versions of Algodoo, and hopefully they will be available to download soon. My job is to moderate Algobox (this website). I make sure that people don't violate the rules. So, I'm sort of like a police officer for Algobox!
I'm glad I was able to help you! Let me know if you want to try something else. I'm not an "expert" but I have a few years of experience with Algodoo and Thyme scripting, so I know a few "tricks".
Here is another possible escapement wheel and spring that might work for you. I tried to make it look as realistic as possible. Let me know if you like it or hate it.
The wheels can't turn because they are glued to the background. You can fix that by right-click on the wheel, then hover down to "geometry actions", then click on "Loosen". Do that for each wheel and then they will turn!
The position where the laser hits the object is e.pos. So, for example, in "onLaserHit" you can save that position like this: _objectPos = e.pos (or whatever you need to do with it).
OOPS! Little and I were responding but she beat me to it!
After the cat falls into the water, she starts to splash real hard. After a minute or two, nearly all the water gets splashed out of the bowl, so it becomes a win-win for the cat: 1. No more water to worry about. 2. She gets to eat the fish!
Because we wanted it to stay in first place on the first Algobox display page. We did it by making the date in the future and also by giving it some other huge numbers. No one else can do that besides the owner of this website (Algoryx). I am the Admin here and even I cannot fake the date or other numbers on a scene thumbnail image.
If you click on my username, you will see the entire list of scenes that I have uploaded since 2012 and many of them do some interesting things with lasers. I think you would be surprised to see what can be done with them!
Oh, It looks to me like he was eating watermelon! Besides, that image is very blurry, so it's hard to make out any detail. Anyhow, I believe you that it's not your selfie. I was JK! Having a little fun with it!
The steering works left and right but the car does not move forward with the up arrow key. Is there another key that you forgot to mention such as to start the engine?
@MarioBro1337 -- Did you know if you subscribe to your own scenes, then whenever someone leaves a comment you will be notified with "New Messages" tab at the top of the page? That way you won't have to randomly check your scenes in order to see if you got any new messages.
I think what this game needs is a number of difficulty levels from easy to harder. The easy levels should be simple enough so that even a young child should be able to complete them, and the most difficult levels should be so difficult that even an experienced gamer would find them extremely challenging. I was thinking maybe ten difficulty levels would be enough. The only score keeping will be a message that reads either: "Level N successfully completed! Click NEXT LEVEL" or "Level N failed! Click TRY AGAIN". I'll work on this as time permits. Thanks for your suggestions!
