I have an older PC too, but like Little's, the latest Algodoo version runs faster than the previous version. I'm no expert but I think the amount of ram in the computer can make a huge difference in execution speed.
Blue is definitely the aggressor and wins most of the time.
Nice job on the scene. It's a lot of fun to watch those two beat each other!
Just wondering.... It seems as though Q & E keys only make RED guy punch and block. The keys have little to no effect on BLUE guy. It's obvious when I separate them and then throw punches with Q & E. Is that how it's supposed to work?
Ummm... Now the scene doesn't work at all because the simulation speed is stuck at zero!
Suggestion: After uploading a scene, immediately download it just to make certain that it works correctly! I do this with every scene that I upload and occasionally I catch a mistake or glitch in the scene that did not show up when I ran the scene on my computer.
@AngryBirdAlgodoo -- Thanks for letting me know about that glitch. Also, thanks for the kind words.
Now for the bad news. You stated: P.S. If you want to know why Angry Birds has gotten so popular on Algobox recently, It's me. I started this trend.
Well I hate to burst your bubble but Angry Birds has been consistently popular since the app (Algodoo) was originally published in 2011! If you do a search using the "search" tab, and search on the words "angry birds" (include the quotes) it returns a list of 247 scenes since the year 2011! Popularity may have slightly increased since you registered just a couple of months ago, but you are not the main reason why it has been so popular over the years.
I don't think this is working the way you expected it to because as soon as I click the RUN button, the white box falls down then it disappears when it hits the ground.
By the way, did you ask Little's permission to reupload her scene?
Concerning this scene, I'm guessing that it demonstrates how some telescope systems eliminate star "twinkle" by using adaptive optics and filters. Is that correct?
@Little -- User Smartboy321 wasn't being passive aggressive, he/she was being just plain aggressive by making threats.
@Smartboy321 -- If your aggressive behavior toward other users should happen again, then you will be banned from Algobox. I hope you won't make that happen.
Notice to all users: Even after I warned Smartboy321 about his/her bad behavior, he/she continued bad mouthing other users. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Smarboy321 has now been permanently banned from Algobox.
That's okay. If you are smart enough to know how to cheat a game and not make it look obvious then that just means that you are smarter than the average person who plays the game fairly!
Having horizontal and vertical reflecting surfaces adds an entirely new dimension to my original Reflections puzzle!
The only suggestion that I have for this scene at this time is to somehow make the mirrors brighter or thicker so they can be seen more easily. They look rather dim on my computer display (yes, other images from other apps are bright and sharp). Except for that picky detail, the game works well.
I improved one mirror section just to see how easy or difficult it would be and it worked quite well. I used the "fake" mirror method like you tried which is just a white box that rides directly over the actual mirror. I used a box size of [0.005,0.5] and I transferred the mirror's angle and color transparency value to the box via a couple of global variables. I also reduced the box's mass to minimize inertia while rotating. Easy-peasy!
There once was a girl named Miss Bright,
who could travel much faster than light.
She departed one day in a relative way
and returned on the previous night!
