Enhance the scene so that the user can enter their own text and then the 5-bar linkage will write the text on a virtual sheet of paper. That would be even more awesome!
You forgot to include instructions that explain how to make things happen in the scene! For example, what keys must be pressed to make the washer wash and the dryer dry.
When I wrap one end of the wire clockwise around the posts, and then wrap the other end in the same direction, it causes the first end to unravel in the opposite direction. I don't see real world wire doing that (yes, I actually tested it with copper and then with nichrome wires).
Additional information: After playing around with it, I now see what's happening. The wire is so flexible that even a small amount of longitudinal movement of the wire caused by my pulling on the end, is what causes the unraveling. Maybe if you make the wire stiffer it would reduce that tendency to unravel.
@Little -- As long as your art doesn't break any rules (you know what I mean) then please go ahead and show it off! If anyone attacks you personally I will send them into the dark abyss, never to be heard from again.
I like those rotating posts that you added. They eliminate my heavy handed pulling of the wire.
Here is more work.... um.... I mean a suggestion for you: Show a few (5 or 10?) convoluted shapes that can be made out of lengths of flexible wire. Provide the same number of straight pieces of wire that the user can try to duplicate with the bend tools. This would add a challenge to the scene rather than just mindlessly bending a wire.
It would be helpful to others who would like to load and fire your guns if you would list the control keys. For example: Key that presses the magazine latch, Key that pulls back the slide, Key that controls the safety (on/off), Key that pulls the trigger, and anything else you can think of. Thanks!
No worries! Many people go weeks or even months without posting a scene! No one really cares because there are so many other people who post stuff nearly every day! There are many interesting scenes to view and to play with.
Anyhow, thanks but no thanks. If I ever need to learn about hybrid orbitals (I will probably never need to learn it) I'll just ask one of my AI guys.
Just in case you don't know this.... If you want to get instantly alerted when your scene receives a comment, simply click the "Subscribe" link just above the scene rating bar graph. You can subscribe to your own scene comments or to anyone else's comments! When someone leaves a comment, the words "New Messages" will be highlighted at the top of every Algobox page. Then just click on those words to see them.
I did make one many years ago. It was pretty bad, so I never made another one. Click on my username if you want to see all the scenes I've made since I started using Algodoo in 2012.
