@LAK -- Long strings of repeating letters, question marks and exclamation points are redundant. Only one of each is sufficient to get your message across.
Did you get permission from Karl0z to copy this scene? If you did not get permission OR if you do not reply to this question within one day, then it will be deleted.
Okay, here's what you can do. LOG OUT of Algobox. Once you are logged out, click on LOG-IN. Enter your username but do not enter a password. Click on "I forgot my password" and follow instructions for creating a new password. You can do all this through any standard web browser. If you use only the Algodoo built-in browser, I don't know if this will work. Try what I suggested and let me know here in comments if it worked.
More details: I just checked the Algodoo built-in browser, and YES that also says "I forgot my password". So, that will also work!
I'm still confused. You still did not explain HOW this game works! As a player, what do I need to do? What keys must be pressed and what is the challenge? When you make and upload a new game scene, you have to explain HOW other people play it. What buttons or keys to press. How to move and how to win. YOU SAY NOTHING ABOUT THAT!
codygaray -- I see that you copied most of this scene from user MARBLERACED. He has been gone from Algobox for many years but if he ever comes back and sees this scene of yours and reports it stolen, then I will be forced to delete it. You could also be banned for some period of time if you make a habit of copying other user's scenes without their permission. Just letting you know so that it won't be a surprise if it happens.
In the future, please make and upload your own scenes instead of copying other people's work.
@Everyone -- Here's something you can play around with if your device has a mouse cursor. After you click "Destroy" and the squares have fallen into a jumbled up pile, use your mouse cursor to grab on to any one of the squares and smash it around into the pile of squares so that they are totally mixed up. Do not stop the simulation while doing that! After you have scrambled up the pile of squares to your heart's content, click "Assemble" and watch the magic happen!
Take a look at s_noonan's Tape Cassette and you will see what I mean.
One more detail I just noticed... There is a felt pad that keeps the tape in contact with the play/record head while in Play or Record mode. There should also be a similar felt pad that keeps the tape in contact with the erase head while in play or record mode.
Other than those picky little details, you did a good job on the scene!
After I downloaded the game and started the sim, I saw that the background was moving left, right, up, and down with the arrow keys but I wasn't able to locate the actual thing that was moving! Only after I Zoomed way out, I finally found a tiny circle that moved under control of the arrow keys. It was located way over on the left-hand side of the game play field!
I know that you are new to Algodoo, so I have a couple of suggestions for you that will make your future games more interesting and fun to play by others.
1. Before you save your game on your computer or other device, adjust the display position and zoom level so that the main player character is in the center of the display. That is what everyone will see when they look at the thumbnail image on Algobox. Don't make the user "hunt" for the player character unless that's how the game was intended.
2. If the game requires any controls (keyboard or mouse) then list the control keys either in the scene description or in the actual scene. Never assume that every player will automatically know what keys to press in order to play the game!
Overall, you did a good job on the game, and it can become much better if or when you decide to improve it!
1. Does that problem happen with any other scene or just this one?
2. When it happens, does it exit Algodoo after the scene starts moving or does it happen immediately when the scene finishes loading?
3. Are you using the latest version of Algodoo?
Nope, not perpetual motion. What happens is you have three objects that have the same collision layer (A) that you are binding together with two axles. Imagine trying to force three people together into the same space. They will become extremely agitated and attack each other. That's what is happening with the objects in your scene. You are forcing them together which makes them agitated. So, the resulting shaking, pushing, and pulling will sometimes make them spin, and you are confusing that spin with perpetual motion!
