In all prev versions were calculation of neighbors for each cell. Instead of that, here cells only send notifications to neighbors if its status changed. Plus optimization of storing neighbors maps and entity IDs, removing post step code for static cells etc.

There is no point to generate so many boxes, because color is 8bit per color (256 levels). That means most of that boxes displayed same as nearest.
