Yea i know that it has a low payload (it was meant for lighter vehicles) but i think ill be beefing it up or making an HD version soon. BTW try lowering the body weight it makes the springs act stiffer
Very nice design indeed Stepan, the only thing i forgot to say is that if you add a spring to the leaf spring and lower the strength and add damping it really smooths the ride out. Love the "Cotton Express" design too. Great job 8/10
I look forward to that Shoot-me hope its soon, Oh and by the way its only square at the end because ITS ON THE BOX the real leaf spring is inside the box and yes, it does have rounded ends.

Wow, no offense man but are those your leafs? And you said mine looked "unrealistic". Overall nice truck but you really shouldn't be saying my leafs are that bad when yours is really not that much to compare. I like the tires though, By the way you have really given me some inspiration, ill be working on some more "realistic" leafs. But any how the two leafs that i made are more meant for "travel" not "realism" but they look real enough to me if they are scaled right. Dont take this comment as offending either its not suppose to be (even though you MAY have offended me in your comments). Great job I can see you really like trucks, same here Ive bean obsessed with trucks and 4x4 since like what? age 3
No offense man, but this truck would probably be disqualified, well it definitely would be actually, no offense but did you even read the rules?? It has over 800 parts (breaking a rule) and it weighs only 9-10KG(breaking a rule), the motor strength is illegal (breaking a rule), It has an OK design, i would delete the engine and do some work though if i were you. Check the rules buddy
Oh hey i figured that it glitched when i uploaded it, so if you want extra dampening set ALL The springs to 1 dampening than let it run then pause set it to 5 or more for good results and then it should be dampened a bit more
Hey kilinich you got me there, but the block just centralizes the weight (less flipping) so i really wouldn't call it cheating because technically it is still part of the truck and still does weigh it down.
Fixed for the 3rd time the trailer is now fixed so it wont become undone and it weighs alot more so it wont bounce around as much. The plow has been reworked so it wont deform or anything and that it doesn't travel too far. The track is also a lot more challenging now and longer. I hope you have even more fun! BTW what should my next project be? any ideas?
Oh sorry i just couldn't find a 3X3 letter zone on the keyboard that wouldnt be too hard to remember. So i looked at the numb pad and figured it was the best position.
Nice shoot-me great truck! but next time (or whenever) do you think you can make the frame all 1 piece? it makes it seem more realistic and a lot easier to work with.
Just go to the appearance and turn off the borders, i found that it doesn't look choppy when you do that.
Oh and one more thing are the 2 extra bars connected to the axle are they there for keeping the axle from twisting (like when the connector links for an "X") or for suspension travel limiters?
true, very true also since most monster trucks are 4 links you would only have 2 if you fixated it. You should try putting a crossbar in between the links or turn the density higher.
I am working on a monster truck project at this moment, hope you check it out when i upload it. (a couple days)
Do you plan on making a realistic weight on a truck anytime soon?
Yea i know especially since you have to re-weight everything that you put on it and in front of it but once in a while its pretty cool, for now your lighter weight scenes are still great tho!
yeah i discovered the "Trac-Lock" one day when i was trying to make a rock crawler but the hinges wouldn't cooperate with me, but originally they were boxes until i thought it was easier to work with if they were just balls glued to each other. Thanks fro the comment, what recording tool do you use for recording phun and posting it on youtube?
yea my crush cars aren't really crush cars more like "cheap" breakable cars, the brush guard is simply an impact absorber and well the crush cars on your MaxD are squish cars i prefer cars that kinda fall apart. what does fraps mean?
Its not suppose to be its pretty much something I was bored with and decided to make while i was making the pre-runner, plus i kind of also made it so i could use it as a comparison between the 2
Its not too new or anything we've had these. And you might wanna make the ends a bit thinner than the center, but don't silverados have double wishbones in the front that's coil sprung not leaf? 7/10
note that leaf springs go thin to thick not thick to thick
In other words the ends are suppose to be shorter and the front end of s Chevy Silverado 1500 is Spring not leaf.
