sounds cool but "gas" systems are (from my expertice) just a ball spawner that spawns BALLS to be honest that is not easy for meh! but you can actually get some ideas from 2 scenes i guess that use what they call "black powder"
but if this ball spawner system thingy dosn´t work for you... you could just use springs which is easy for me to use i have some scenes with and i still got some more scene to load up with spring as "expanding gas to a cannon"

woaw HE SHELLS? i have a really hard time making HE shells T_T
