Its really nice, have you tried using Track rotation? that way you could add a gun without really confusing mechanisms

For the police, add a attraction to the player object, then when you do something bad, the police station door could open and they could chase you you could put them as killer, and set everything but the player as immortal

Sorry, i forgot to mention, press left or right to pull the string back, hold down arrow to steady your aim. you can also drag the tab on the strin back for a larger power shot
