Well then, I feel the search function is terribly flawed, but categories would be helpful, but, JUST categories isnt enough to fix this. Now to think about it, only a small percentage of the marble race scenes on algodoo are actually marble races, so, subcategories would be helpful, but, it's near imossible for a systen to recognize what scene is what kind. I guess, like normal, rely on the community. I feel there would be a "Category Selection" when you save and share your scene, like Youtube's "Type of Video/Genre Selcetion" when you upload a video. A similar function is needed, but the community should do the rest. The community should not only report innoproprite scenes, and "obscenes" (What I call an obscene scene) like always, but also report scene that are DEFINATELY in the wrong subcategory or category entirely and then put the reason why it's incorrent in a text box, like a comment.
Kyle, I have not met you before, so, sorry no, I'm already working on 1.7. "Full Keyboard"- whoops, I said too much. But, what can help is trying to make a better lowercase S. It'd be really helpful.
I signed up. Although, I have a question... if we begin, how will this work... do the users who made the characters have to do anything? Or is it simply automatic and we're just rooting for characters.
Well, Xray, at it's core, I basically created the shapes of all letters, numbers, puncuation, etc. in Algodoo that you would find on a regular QWERTY keyboard, along with more verisons of the same letters/numbers/puncuations. It's supposed to be for when you just need the physical shape of a certain letter or number for some reason. It's more like one of those things you find pointless until you really need it, as for why I'm working on it, I work on it when I'm bored and have nothing better to do, which is why it's lasted 2 years as of now.
Thanks, I try to make these characters look like they belong in an actual font, so, it shouldn't really surprise me that they could look like it, espeacially with 2.0 on the horizon.
As for explaining the meaning behind the name, I just needed a new word for "alternative", "variations" came to mind immedietly, and since I was working on something I think could and can help achieve someone's dream, albiet small ones like maybe creating a decent YouTube video or making an interesting and quirky Algodoo scene to show their freinds, I felt the title would fit, even if it's an old and very odd gaming reference.
