Before you say "Hey! Water doesn't boil in Algodoo!!!" I mean like pressurizing water by forcing lots of it into an enclosed space, so it sort of behaves like steam. Theoretically you could have an engine powered by this phenomenon.
Rules for the engine:
- Flywheels may not be more than 3m in diameter and weigh more than 150 kg.
- Multiple crankshafts are not allowed. However, I did not say compounding was not allowed, so you can put more than one cylinder on the crankshaft.
- Turbines, rockets, rotary engines and Pappenheim-style gear pumps are not allowed.
- You can use any type of valvegear.
- Piston bore and stroke is not limited.
- NO THYME!!!!! People have already broken this rule, which I find quite disappointing.
- You may not include any devices that would break the laws of physics in real life. (inertiaMultiplyer parameters may not be altered.)
What it must do:
- Run for at least two minutes.
- You must give it a load. Might this be powering a car or lifting something or whatever, the engine must be doing all the work. Be creative; it will earn you extra points.
- The load must require at least 200 nm of torque.
Rules on water pressure:
- Your water tank must be no more than 2x2 m, and contain no more than 10x10 m of water. However making your own water tank is unnecessary as it is provided in the scene below.
- Recycling water or adding an oncollide script that adds more water will result in disqualification. Your water must be deleted as soon as it leaves the engine.
Scoring:
- Up to ten points will be awarded for the overall look of the engine.
- Up to ten points will be awarded for the creativity of the mechanism the engine powers.
- Two points will be awarded for every 5 extra RPM.
- Five points will be awarded for every 15 extra seconds the engine runs.

Just as a warning, I suggest that those with slower computers avoid this competition, as your computer may lag severely.

Few advices/questions:
Flywheel mass and size only makes sense if you don't touch inertiaMultiplyer parameter. I'd rather you mention that.
There is no "crankshaft" in algodoo engines in classic meaning. Do you mean it should be one-cylinder engine?
If you request rotation speed 45RPM you should limit sim.frequency, where exactly you will read that angvel? With no load that is useless and could be virtually any speed.
Run for 2 min? What will stop it if there is no load (and you didn't give fixed points for that)?

If you do not have a load you will be disqualified. It is required.
About that inertiaMultiplyer thing, I had never even known that existed.
And by crankshaft, I mean the wheel that the piston is connected to that gives it it's up/ down motion.
And you are not allowed to raise the simulation hertz, above, say 300 Hz. That' s what I run mine at.
And if there is not a way to measure rpm then I will simply leave that part out.

It's easy to measure rpm, but you must say where, on crankshaft?

Yes, the speed at which the crankshaft rotates will be the point of measure.
Now I just have to figure out a way of measuring...
I also edited the original post; it now includes minimum load size.
